Sandugo Festival Tagbilaran City Bohol 2011

The month of July a celebration for the commemoration of friendship treaty of Datu Sikatuna and Miguel Lopez de Legaspi. It was on 16th century date on March 16, 1565 by means of blood compact or what called a sandugo.

This is the annual historical celebration in Tagbiliran City from bohol island. By this it becomes celebration by the boholanos because it made them a great impact 400 years ago. A dugo means blood from a language of Visaya, meaning this is the act of sealed friendship.The festival sponsored by City Government of Taglibiran for the major activities in city are Beauty Pageant, and Sandugo Street Dancing Competition with the Holy Mass, diana and motorcade.A major activities like Street dancing and a Mardi grass parade.
